Treatment of misaligned teeth and jaws in children, adolescents and adults
Influencing the growth of the upper and lower jaw and/or aligning teeth in the upper and lower jaw, correcting the positional relationship of the upper and lower jaw.
Influencing growth is only possible in children and adolescents. Misalignments of the jaws that can still be corrected in childhood by controlling growth often have to be treated in adults by a combination of orthodontic and oral surgery measures.
As a rule, orthodontic treatments are carried out in collaboration with the paediatric dentist or the family dentist. Our treatments are often a team effort between these practitioners or an oral surgeon.
Orthodontics can be performed at any age. The prerequisites are good oral hygiene and a healthy periodontium.
We attach great importance to the optimal treatment of our patients. This includes maintaining good oral hygiene through the care of our dental hygienists.
For adults, we also use the Invisalign technique (‘invisible’ appliances, for greater comfort during treatment).
New for teenagers and adults: Lingual technique - for higher aesthetic demands.
